After many years of fighting my curls, I decided to visit Freyja for a curly cut to finally embrace my natural texture. As is often the case with visiting a salon for the first time, I was slightly nervous to get my hair cut, especially after having some not-so-great experiences at other salons in the city.

Sarah, my stylist, made me feel completely at ease. Not only was she incredibly kind and gentle, she truly listened to my concerns and showed me how she was cutting my hair along the way. I now have one of the best—if not *the* best—haircuts I’ve ever had and my natural texture can truly shine. Thank you, Sarah!

The salon is quite gorgeous and going through the curtains at the entrance added to the magic of it all. It was my first time ever going to get a haircut at a salon, and Shiomi did a wonderful job making it a really positive first experience.

On their website they describe themselves as 'elevated, yet approachable' and I must say they are just that! I have social anxiety but felt at ease there right away: from the warm laid-back welcome at reception to Jessica's calm, yet sparkly vibe. Although I struggled to explain properly to Jessica what it was that I wanted, she somehow understood and gave me the perfect haircut. For reference, my hair is thin & straight but I have a lot of it. I rarely find someone who can make it feel lighter & have volume without overdoing it and ruining it with sheers.

It is on the pricier side but considering the quality of service & products and that it's carbon neutral (big plus!) I would say that it is totally worth the splurge. I'll definitely be going back there to see Jessica for my next haircut.

All in all I had a great experience! I have been there 2 times, with different stylists.

The atmosphere was so calming, the decor very esthetic and the service was impeccable. I felt like I was being treated like a princess, the 2 stylist I got both time were very gentle when handling my hair.

It's definitely on the pricier side, but I think it is worth the experience if you want to treat yourself a self care day. I appreciated the styling tricks my stylist give, and I felt taken care of.
